When should I plan to arrive in Boston and leave Boston?

A: This year’s conference is bigger and better and will span two days! If you plan on visiting Harvard Business School on Friday, you should aim to arrive on Friday morning at or before 11am, as tours will begin at 1pm. General registration will begin at 2:00pm on Friday. The conference will end on Saturday at 4:30pm, so those booking flights should plan flights for 6:30pm or later on Saturday October 4.

Where should I stay while I am in Boston?

A. You are responsible for making your own overnight accommodation. Nearby hotels are the Sheraton Boston Hotel (617-236-2000) and the Boston Marriott Cambridge (617-494-6600).

If you have any questions, please contact Logistics Director Gena Haugen at haugen@fas.harvard.edu for more information.

Is there a set number of women who can come from each college to IBC?

A: No! In fact, we’ve set up group rates this year to help you in bringing a group along with you at a reduced price from your college to attend the convention! That said many attendees come as individuals from their college! There is no specific maximum or minimum on attendees from any given college.

I might be the only student from my university coming to the IBC. Will there be other "single" delegates from other Universities?

A: Most definitely! Many of our attendees come as individuals from their colleges and universities, and we have designed our programming to help you foster new friendships between attendees - starting with our reception on Friday night, a meet-and-greet and great chance to meet fellow attendees from around the world!

Cost

What are the conference fees for the IBC?

A: Priority Registration – ending September 8, 2008 - is $15 per person for groups of 8 or more, $20 for individuals. Regular registration will be $20 per person for groups of 8 or more, and $25 for individuals. The registration fee includes admission to Day 1 events and Day 2 events, as well as a large conference goody bag with gifts from our sponsors, inclusion in IBC's resume book sent to leading companies looking to hire college students, and the admission fee to IBC's pre-conference personal investment competition.

I am traveling from outside of the US; are there any special “international” fees I might have to occur?

A: No! There are no international fees! We're eager to host international women and wouldn't want to put an additional financial burden on you.

I have more questions that weren't addressed here. Who should I talk to?

A: E-mail the conference staff at ibcinfo2008@gmail.com. We're happy to answer your questions!
